On Saturday 14th we dropped into The Umbrella Network house to make a donation to this local charity. They were having a birthday party as we pulled up; we were greeted at the fence by Raelene, other parents and the children. A huge thanks to our great sponsors and everyone who attended our recent weekend Campout. Because of monies raised over this weekend we were able to make a donation of $1500 to this wonderful local support group. When you get a chance have a look at their website http://theumbrellanetwork.org/rockhampton-2/ and see how Raelene and her team support each other.
On Sunday a few of us headed to Benaraby to support a fund raiser in aid of Ross’s family. We were joined by Dale in his purple roadster and Peter from the ACMC with his Falcon. Unfortunately we had to leave before we got to see Peter running down the strip. It was great weather although a tad warm. The crowd was pretty good and built up as the runs down the strip started. We caught up with many of the Reef City Rodders and Jeff was taking the General for a run also. Thanks again to those who were able to make the trip.
On Sunday 10 of us meet at the DPI and then headed off down to Nobs Creek Pottery Byfield. We had a good run and went down through the back way and as soon as we turned off the roadside edges went from brown to green and like that all the way. We had a good look around at Nobs Creek before cruising over to the Byfield Store for lunch. It was pretty full with bikes and 4wd’s so we ordered and we all had our meals within 20 minutes and it was good feed. We left there after a chat and cruised through Yeppoon and across the coast to Emu Park where we enjoyed a relaxing afternoon before heading home. Thank you to all and hope you enjoyed the day as we did.
On Fathers Day for a few hours a few of us went along to the Umbrella Groups Fathers Day outing. We along with a few from the All Classic club displayed the vehicles and gave rides around the Uni grounds which put a smile on many faces.
